Lunch and Ag Discovery
The “Lunch and Ag Discovery” programs, which began in 2007, are held monthly at the Red River Research Station. The programs, according to Dr. Jere McBride, former LSU AgCenter Northwest Regional director, are intended to help consumers and the urban population learn more about agricultural issues. Attendance has been good at the programs held thus far, whose topics have included blueberries, pecans, and tomatoes.
The programs are available to the public for a cost of $5 which includes a light lunch, dessert, and a drink. RSVP at (318) 741-7430 is required. Please see the Red River Research Station's Calendar of Events as well as this page for information on recent and upcoming Lunch and AgDiscovery programs.
