This is an employee enrichment program that provides participants with the essentials of personal financial education. This lesson includes several hands-on activities. All classes are approved by the Department of Social Services and include research-based information to assist you in organizing a quality child care program in the state of Louisiana. Each participant will receive a certificate of completion that will fulfill 4 clock hours of LA DSS yearly training requirement. This class will satisfy CDA content area 6.
The training covers six major topics including:
- Developing and using a savings and spending plan
- Finding money to save and invest
- Setting financial goals
- Understanding and selecting the best investment options
- Identifying appropriate help for financial management, and
- Avoiding investment fraud.
