4-h day at the capital

More than 1,500 4-H members from all 64 parishes participated in the 7th Annual 4-H Day at the Capital on Thursday, June 5th.  In recognition of the 100th Anniversary of 4-H, Governor Bobby Jindal and the Legislature proclaimed June as 4-H Centennial month.  4-H Day at the Capital began with an assembly on the Capital steps with legislators participating along with state 4-H Officers and LSU AgCenter Chancellor Bill Richardson, Vice Chancellor Paul Coreil and  Associate Vice Chancellor Dwight Landreneau.  Betsy Crigler and Kaylar Sevier, 4-H Agents from Tensas Parish took a group of 4-Hers from Tensas Parish. They enjoyed meeting Senator Francis Thompson and Respresentative Andy Anders.
