St. Mary 4-H'ers attend 2008 4-H Challenge Camp

On March 27-29, 4-H'ers from St. Mary Parish were part of a group attending 2008 Challenge Camp at Camp Grant Walker in Pollock, LA. This camp is designed to challenge 12 and 13 year-olds to set high personal goals through a series of group activities designed to increase self-confidence and self-reliance.
Challenge Camp has always been a great success among 7th and 8th graders. This year it was no exception and St. Mary's 4-H'ers not only enjoyed being with peers from other parishes but also participating in indoor and outdoor group activities that help develop team working and promote deicision making skills.
This year's participants were: Taylor Blanco, Makenzie Burleigh, Victoria Chauvin, Traci Glynn, Hayley Hiles, Jalin Howard, Peyton Landry, Samantha Oubre, Kaitlyn Percle, Jenah Richard, Bella Robison, Alexis Vaughn, and Christopher Womack. 4-H Junior Leaders who served as camp counselors were Jamie Minor, Alee Broussard, Ashley Punch, and Kristen Comeaux, 4-H Agents for St. Mary Parish are Jenni Johnson and Adriana Drusini.
