| Celebrate 100 years of 4-H in Louisiana during 2008!! |
During 2008, more than 218,000 Louisiana youth along with more than 9,000 volunteers will celebrate the 4-H Centennial Anniversary. As we look to the future, we see 4-H as an organization that seeks to provide individualism to Louisiana’s youth as well as provide educational programs to teach life skills. These programs focus on the areas of science, engineering and technology, healthy lifestyles and citizenship.
As we celebrate 100 years, we will reflect on an eventful past and look forward to an even more eventful future. 2008 will be a year of recognition and celebrations, while staying true to our roots focusing on the development of youth.
Farm Bureau and Lafourche Parish 4-H will co-host a Centennial Celebration Alumni Reunion. This reunion will be held on Saturday, April 19, 2008 at the Raceland Fair Building from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Please join us for a night of good food and good friends to celebrate this very important milestone in Lafourche 4-H’s history.
