Lafayette 4-H Barnyard Scoop
The Lafayette 4-H Barnyard Scoop is the newsletter for the 4-H livestock program in Lafayette Parish. It is intended for all members enrolled in livestock projects and planning to exhibit beef, dairy, goats, sheep, swine and poultry.
2008-2009 Newsline
The Lafayette 4-H Junior Leader Newsline Newsletter provides information to Junior Leader members on educational programs, service-learning activities, other events and monthly deadlines. This volume is for the 2008-09 school year and the newsletters are published from September to May.
Cameron, Calcasieu residents face challenges from Hurricane Ike recovery
(Distributed 09/18/08) Residents of Cameron and Calcasieu parishes are still coping with the ordeal of putting their lives back together after Hurricane Ike. People began trickling back to their homes in Cameron and Grand Chenier to see if anything remains to be cleaned up, although they are not being allowed to stay. Cattle owners were struggling to deal with herds still in the marsh.
Age groups react differently to calamity
(Distributed 09/08/08) Children's reactions to disaster depend on their age and maturity. Their responses also are affected by how close they are to the event, their level of exposure to it through TV and how they see their parents react.

Emotional recovery part of disaster aftermath
(Distributed 09/08/08) Those who survive hurricanes and other natural disasters are at risk for behavioral and emotional readjustment problems. Most child and adult survivors experience one or more normal stress reactions for several days after a natural disaster.
2008-2009 4-H Hotline Newsletter

Lafayette 4-H Hub City Equine News
The Lafayette 4-H Hub-City News is the periodical newsletter for the 4-H horse program in Lafayette Parish. It is intended for all members enrolled in and planning to exhibit a horse project. This volume is for the 2007-2008 school year that is published periodically beginning in November through October.
4-H Records Contest
These results consist of all youth in the parish that turned in project books. The top books will be recognized as Brackin Bowles Outstanding Record Books winners.

Childcare Provider Training for April-June 08

2008 Louisiana Horse Expo slated for Gonzales
