The Franklin Parish Farm Bureau has given LSU AgCenter agents in Franklin Parish two unrestricted grants-in-aid to help fund educational programs in 4-H youth development, agriculture and natural resources and family and consumer sciences.

Scott Wiggers, president of the Franklin Parish Farm Bureau, presented the checks.  Laura Bradley received $2,000 to help fund the 4-H youth development program, and Carol Pinnell-Alison and Ginger Boutwell received $2,000 to help fund educational programs in agriculture and natural resources and family and consumer sciences.

Agents expressed their appreciation for the monetary support for the AgCenter's Extension Service; the funds will be used to supplement agents' travel expenses, equipment and office supply needs.

The Franklin Parish Farm Bureau has supported many community organizations over the years.  Present and past members of the Franklin Parish Farm Bureau Board of Directors have managed the organization's finances well so that funds are available to support local needs.
