Eight 4-Hers represented Franklin Parish at 4-H University on the LSU Campus in Baton Rouge June 17-20, 2008. Youth participated in the event with 1500 high school youth from across Louisiana.
Youth representing our parish include Kabria Morgan, Ashley Lachney, Bianca Teats, Hudson Smith, Brandon Davis, Quinterio Lane, Jared Stephenson, and Chad Berly. Ashley Lachney, Brandon Davis, and Chad Berly participated in Clover College gaining knowledge in Sports Management. Quinterio Lane completed six hours of training and became certified as a camp counselor. Kabria Morgan and Hudson Smith competed in contests. Hudson Smith placed 2nd in Public Speaking.
Bianca Teats represented Franklin Parish as a Regional Representative for 2007-2008. Hudson Smith, a National Conference Delegate this year, will serve his second year on the Executive Committee. Also attending was 4-H agent Laura Bradley.
