Monthly newsletter which provides information regarding current and upcoming 4-H contests, events and activities for the 2008-09 school year to Concordia Parish 4-H club members in grades 4-6.

Thirty-seven youth participated in 4-H University, which was held at LSU Campus in Baton Rouge in June. These 4-H'ers experienced a week of educational activities and contests. Congratulations to all 4-H'ers who placed at 4-H University and Clover College.

Attention 4-Hers! It's time to "fire up the ole grill!" Concordia 4-H is ready to kick off the Annual Chick-N-Que Contest. Bring your parents out to watch you in action on October 11, 2008.

Concordia Parish had 69 youth, volunteers, counselors, and agents, who spent a fun-filled week at 4-H Camp this summer held at Camp Grant Walker. The following pictures are from their exciting week at camp where they enjoyed a variety of activities.

Do you want to "Be A Star"? Join the fun by participating in the 2008 Summer Reading Program hosted by Concordia Parish Library. Don't worry if your summer schedule is booked! Programs are offered throughout the months of June and July at Vidalia, Ferriday, and Clayton Libraries and Concordia Bank in Monterey.

Mmmmm! It's that time again! Fresh Strawberries all the way from South Louisiana. They are $13 a flat and will be delivered on the afternoon of March 26, 2008. Orders must be turned in by March 20. If interested call the 4-H Office at (318)336-5315 or 336-7084.

2008 Results for each 4-H Contest

Concordia Parish will be attending 4-H Camp, June 9-13, 2008. The cost of summer camp will be $120 per camper (meals, lodging, snacks/drinks, and bus transportation).
