Start Date: Thursday, December 18, 2008
End Date: Thursday, December 18, 2008
Duration: 10:00 AM to 2:30 PM
Location: Mockler Brewery auditorium, Baton Rouge, LA
Description:

CEU: La. Residential Contractors, certificates available to submit to other CEU granting agencies

For: Home builders, remodelers, inspectors, designers, suppliers, real estate professionals and other housing professionals

Description:

In our wet climate, keeping a wood frame house dry is the single most important factor for durability, preventing mold, and long term customer satisfaction and referrals. Plus, the more energy efficient the house, the harder and more important it is to keep it dry. Effective flashing and moisture control methods can easily prevent this all-too-common and costly source of call-backs and liability claims.

At this seminar, you’ll learn about and see:

  • Water shedding design guidelines and code requirements
  • Flashing and housewrap details – common mistakes and missing spots; “best practice” methods and alternatives
  • Moisture management insights to prevent hidden condensation and mold
  • Various types of products now available that can make it easier.
