Unusual ants garden underground

Description:
(Radio News 08/18/08) A species of ants native to Louisiana function as subterranean gardeners. LSU AgCenter entomologist Rachel Strecker says leaf-cutter ants have gardens underground. These ants don’t sting, but they can bite. And they come in a variety of sizes. (Runtime: 60 seconds)
